About Limoform
Limoform is a Los Angeles transportation technology company. Who builds it, what it publishes, and its relationship with Lux4Rides.
Limoform builds the software that transportation companies run on, and publishes what we learn doing it.
The company exists because of a specific frustration. Running a Los Angeles black-car operation means living inside someone else's booking form, someone else's dispatch screen and someone else's idea of what a reservation is. When the software does not match how the work actually happens, the operator absorbs the difference — in phone calls, in re-quotes, in chauffeurs sitting at the wrong curb. Limoform started as the alternative to absorbing that.
What we build
Custom booking, dispatch, pricing, driver, customer, concierge and payment systems for taxi, limousine, chauffeur, black car and airport transportation companies. The platform page covers what that includes and the pricing section covers what it costs.
The distinguishing feature is not a feature list. It is that the system is designed by someone who has had to dispatch a 5am LAX pickup and explain a wrong quote to a customer.
What we publish
Insights is where we write about the operational and technical side of this work: how chauffeur booking systems are structured, what dispatchers actually do, how flat rates are calculated, and what the California licensing regime requires of a transportation company.
We publish a deliberately small number of guides. Our editorial policy explains the test a topic has to pass, including the check that stops us writing a fifth version of something already covered elsewhere.
The Lux4Rides relationship, stated plainly
Limoform was founded by Sam Altabbaa and is informed by hands-on transportation operations through Lux4Rides, a licensed Los Angeles black-car and airport transportation company operating under California TCP #40987. Same founder, two companies, different jobs:
- Limoform builds software and publishes guides. It does not operate vehicles.
- Lux4Rides operates the vehicles, holds the transportation licence and carries the insurance.
When a Limoform guide points a reader who needs an actual chauffeur towards Lux4Rides, the shared founder is disclosed on that page. We are not a review site and we do not rank transportation companies — see the editorial policy for why.
